About the game

Isabella's Leap of Faith is a faith-based jumping Bible game set in the glowing Orchards of Logos, deep in the world of Rhym. Players guide Isabella, a six-year-old red panda and the youngest of the RhymSquad, as she leaps from branch to branch gathering fyrflies to light her lost friend safely home. The mechanics stay simple. Time each jump, grab the fyrflies drifting around the Spirit Fruit, dodge the rotten fruit that slows you down. The story underneath is bigger: a small light, carried faithfully, can push back a lot of darkness. Built for ages 5 and up on the TruPlay platform, with no ads, no chatrooms, and no in-app purchases.

The story

Isabella's star-nosed mole, Astra, wandered into the dark Forest of Words and was struck by the black goo spreading through it. Now she's lost. Isabella has exactly one plan for getting her home: the Living Lantern.

The lantern is an heirloom. King Logos gave it to Isabella's great-great-grandmother generations ago, and it has been handed down through the family ever since. Isabella believes that if she fills it with enough fyrflies, the magical fireflies that gather around the Spirit Fruit in the ancient Orchards of Logos, its glow will grow bright enough to lead Astra back through the dark.

So she goes. Alone. Into the orchards she leaps, branch to branch, scooping up fyrflies and steering clear of rotten fruit that drags her down. Most of the older characters in Rhym wave Isabella off as too little to matter. She doesn't buy it. In her heart, she's certain this is what God asked her to do.

The Narrator travels beside her, and the higher she climbs, the more he fills in the parts of the story she doesn't know yet. That Jesus is the Light of the World. That the Fruit of the Spirit grows in people who follow Him. That her grandmother once carried this same lantern on a mission everyone in Rhym has since forgotten: bringing light into a dark forest. By the end, Isabella understands the job was never only about one lost mole. The calling is hers now, the same one her grandmother answered, to carry the light of Christ into a world that needs it.

What this game teaches kids

The heart of Isabella's Leap of Faith is one promise: Jesus is the Light of the World, and even the smallest light can hold back the dark. Isabella never grows bigger or stronger throughout the game. What shifts is her grasp of where the light comes from, and what she's meant to do with it.

Theme: Light in the Darkness - A small light, carried in faith, pushes back the dark.

Jesus Is the Light of the World

Isabella's whole quest runs on light. She needs it to bring Astra home, and the fyrflies she gathers are how she carries it. The deeper truth the game hands kids is that the real Light was never something you scoop into a lantern. It's a Person. Jesus calls Himself the light of the world, and the dark forest Isabella walks into is exactly the kind of place that light was made for.

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." - John 8:12 NIV

The Fruit of the Spirit

As Isabella journeys, the Narrator teaches her about the Fruit of the Spirit, the qualities that grow in a person who stays close to God:

  • Love, joy, peace
  • Patience, kindness, goodness
  • Faithfulness, gentleness, self-control

It isn't a checklist to perform. It's what grows on its own when a kid keeps following Jesus, the same way fruit appears on a healthy tree.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23 NIV

Themes & lessons

Childlike Faith Counts

Everyone older than Isabella treats her like she's too young to pull this off. She's a secret genius with a high little voice, and people hear the voice before they notice the genius. The game flips that around. Her faith is small the way a child's faith is small, and that turns out to be the strength of it. She still believes things the grown-ups have quietly stopped believing, and that belief is what gets the work done.

A Calling Passed Down

Isabella's lantern came from her great-great-grandmother, along with a mission nobody in Rhym remembers anymore. Kids watch faith move through a family, skip a few generations, and find its way back. They also catch something quieter: being handed something sacred means being handed a responsibility, too.

Carrying Light to Others

She sets out to rescue one friend. She finishes the journey understanding she's part of something far larger than a rescue: she was made to be a light-bearer for a dark world. That's the call Jesus gives every believer, and the game lets kids feel both the weight and the wonder of it without a lecture attached.

Perseverance When No One Is Watching

Branch after branch, run after run, Isabella keeps leaping even when the gaps look too wide and nobody's cheering her on. She does the brave thing with no audience. Children come away with a sense that sticking to something hard and holding your ground when others doubt you is a victory of its own.

Meet the heroes

Isabella

Isabella is a six-year-old red panda and the youngest member of the RhymSquad. She's sharp as a tack, though most characters miss it thanks to her age and her squeaky voice. She loves her star-nosed mole, Astra, fiercely, and her faith doesn't flinch. When she's sure God has asked her to do something, the size of the task never makes it into the conversation. Where others see "just stories," Isabella sees fyrflies, a living lantern, and a mission worth everything she's got.

The Narrator

The Narrator is Isabella's companion through the Orchards of Logos. He won't fight her battles for her. What he does is explain what she's seeing: the meaning of the lantern, the truth about the fyrflies, the Fruit of the Spirit, and the mission her grandmother left behind. Through his voice, both Isabella and the player start to understand the bigger story they've stepped into.

Astra

Astra is Isabella's star-nosed mole, and this whole adventure starts with her. Hurt by the black goo creeping through the Forest of Words, Astra gets lost somewhere in the dark, and Isabella's love for her sets everything in motion. Astra never says a word, but she's the reason behind every leap Isabella takes.

From the developer

Kids know what dark feels like. A scary night. A friend who moves away. A home that's changed shape. A worry they can't name. We wanted to build a game that meets a child right in that feeling and hands them something true to hold onto.

Isabella is six. She's the smallest one in the room, the one people talk over. And she's the one who walks straight into the dark forest because she trusts that God put the mission in her heart. We built Isabella's Leap of Faith around a conviction we hold with our whole hearts: when things go dark, you don't sit and wait for it to lift. You go looking for the Light, and then you carry it to someone else. A child's faith isn't a smaller version of a grown-up's. Some days it's the bravest faith in the room.

Every leap in this game is a small act of trust. Our hope is that kids finish it knowing their faith counts, that Jesus is the Light worth following, and that they were made to shine.

Frequently asked questions

What is Isabella's Leap of Faith about?

Isabella's Leap of Faith is a faith-based jumping game on the TruPlay platform. Players guide Isabella, a young red panda, through the Orchards of Logos, leaping branch to branch to collect fyrflies for her Living Lantern. Her goal is to gather enough light to lead her lost mole, Astra, home. Along the way she learns that Jesus is the Light of the World and that she's called to carry that light too.

What kind of game is it?

A runner/jumper. Isabella leaps from branch to branch through the orchard, timing each jump, picking her path, and dodging the rotten fruit that slows her down. The controls stay simple enough for young kids, and the story plays out in spoken moments as the player covers distance, so even slower players hear the whole thing.

What age group is Isabella's Leap of Faith for?

Ages 5 and up. The leap-and-collect controls and Isabella's own young age make this one of the easiest RhymVerse games to pick up, which also makes it a strong first TruPlay game and a good one to play together as a family.

How long does it take to finish?

Roughly 2 to 4 hours to experience the full story, told across 30 or more dialogue moments. After that, the orchard runs play out differently each time, so kids can keep coming back and replaying for as long as they want.

Does the game include Bible verses or prayers?

Yes. The truth that Jesus is the Light of the World runs through the dialogue, and Isabella talks to God in her own childlike way, trusting that in her heart, where Jesus lives, she knows where she's meant to go. The Fruit of the Spirit shows up here as well, taught gently as she travels.

Is Isabella's Leap of Faith safe for kids?

Yes. It runs on the TruPlay platform, which carries no ads, no chatrooms, and no in-app purchases. There's nothing for a child to stumble into and no stranger waiting to chat, so parents can hand over the screen without hovering.

Do we need to play the other RhymVerse games first?

No. Isabella's Leap of Faith stands on its own and works nicely as a doorway into Rhym. That said, Isabella also appears in Maple and the Forest of Words, The Chirps Bubble Shooter, and Heroes of Rhym: Battle for Eldavar, so families who enjoy her story have several places to keep going.

What will my child take away from playing?

Kids leave knowing that their own faith matters, however small it looks. They meet Jesus as the Light of the World and begin to picture themselves as light-bearers. Many can name the Fruit of the Spirit by the end. And most pick up a quieter lesson along the way: keep going, keep trusting, even when the next branch looks out of reach.
